Hello, I'm Jackie, founder of Otford Valley Candles and co-host of Otford Valley B&B.

 

Candles have always fascinated me. As a young girl, I was mesmerised by the gentle flicker of a candle flame, and that fascination has stayed with me throughout my life.

 

After years of enjoying beautiful candles, I decided to learn the craft for myself.

 

In 2013, I enrolled in candle-making classes, and what began as a creative hobby soon grew into a business I truly love.

 

Today, every candle is handcrafted and hand-poured in my studio, nestled in the beautiful, leafy Otford Valley, just one hour south of Sydney.

 

I use a premium soy and coconut wax blend, quality fragrance oils, and cotton, lead-free wicks, with continual testing to ensure every candle delivers a beautiful burn and long-lasting fragrance.  

 

What began with handcrafted candles has since grown into a beautiful home fragrance collection. In addition to our candles, we now offer elegant reed diffusers and room sprays, allowing you to enjoy your favourite Otford Valley fragrances throughout your home.

 

 

 

For just over three years, my husband Chris and I have also had the pleasure of welcoming guests to Otford Valley B&B.

 

Creating a peaceful, comfortable retreat has become just as rewarding as creating beautiful candles, and we love sharing the beauty of Otford with visitors from near and far.

 

We understand that fragrance is a personal preference, so we don't scent the bungalow or leave burning candles for guests. Instead, you'll find a room spray in the bathroom should you need a little freshening up—or perhaps just to "cover your tracks!"

 

We like to think it's a practical touch that brings a smile.Whether you're visiting Otford, purchasing one of our handcrafted candles, or both, our aim is the same—to create a warm, welcoming experience that helps you slow down, unwind, and enjoy life's simple pleasures.
